Ridgeview Wine Estate Ditchling Common East Sussex

The project comprised an extension to the fully operational winery to create further wine production facilities and the construction of an alfresco dining area, The Rows & Vine.

Construction of The Rows & Vine was of masonry with a reinforced concrete roof slab and flintwork to the bar area.  The extension to the winery was steel frame with Kingspan insulated composite roof and cladding panels.  The foundation to both buildings were piled.

Situated within the South Downs National Park, the garden to the hospitality building has been designed with biodiversity at its core, to respect the local ecology.  The closely controlled lighting systems align with the Park’s Dark Skies policy.  Permeable paving and sustainable drainage solutions divert storm water away from drains.

The external works also include a car park with associated soft landscaping, a pallet store and the extension of the access road to the new extension, carried out by the Sunninghill Groundworks and Civil Engineering teams.
